Kings face an eliminator round clash with the Vikings. The memory is still fresh in the Kings camp as they beaten the Vikings in a comprehensive manner, reaching the target with 6 overs in hand. While previously the Vikings demise was announced by a 17 year old named Afif Hossain who took a fifer and effectively neutered the Vikings top order.

Spin bowling is the key to take out the dangerous openers in Tamim and Gayle. Though we are not sure if the same strategy will work twice in such short notice against such experience batsmen. So the management might change it up a bit as we have quite a variety of spin options in Miraz, Afif, Apu and Samit Patel. But down the order Nabi and Malik is good players of spin so the pick of seam bowlers are crucial too. Kesrick bowled really well as he started the routing of the Vikings taking Tamim off with the first ball. Though Mohammad Sami will be preferred if he is fit for his ability to calmly tackle the death overs. James Franklin is another go to guy as his slower balls will cause much cause for confusions and mishits among most experienced of batsmen.

In batting, Mominul and Sohan’s opening pair seem to be working only for 5 overs. Sohan is no doubt a better and more agile behind the stumps but opting for Umar Akmal means batting experience and hitting abilities. So instead of Samit Patel the team management might go for Akmal. Sabbir Rahman needs to be his very best if the Kings need chasing huge targets courtesy of Vikings behemoth of a batting line up. Franklin seems in heck of a form as he is comfortable hitting balls at any time of the match. Franklin can be considered as an opening option with Mominul, he shined as opener when he played for Mumbai Indians. Maybe the management can try down that path too.

This is the eliminator, the winner moves forward and the loser goes home. But we the Kings are winners, we have beaten the big guns before and we will do it again without breaking a sweat!
